Deuli Hill is the twin hills where the largest range of rock cut caves are concentrated. You can spot the remains of a grand stupa as well as numerous laterite blocks, bricks, brickbats and pottery on atop the Deuli hill. From the eastern side, you can view the ancient staircase heading towards the stupa.


One stupa of Asokan period ruins of monolithic pillar has also been excavated, recently. The archeological findings relate this site to the 3rd century BC – Asokan Period. According to a written work of the Chinese traveler in Odra country, the stupa discovered here might have been among the commemorative stupa constructed by Ashoka.
